Emma Grace and I taking a photo with the chief's brother.
One of the fun things about a team visiting is that we get to take them to all the touristy places that we wouldn't otherwise go to. This past week we went to Shangana Village. They tell the story of the Shangaan people through dance and song. It was pretty cool. Our whole family was even pulled out to dance with them and we did! And Joshua and Jeremy did a little drumming. We even had a cultural meal complete with crocodile and impala and lots more!

We recently hosted our friends from Norway for 10 days. We had a great time with them and Emma Grace especially loved another girl to play dolls and kitchen with. Between all of our team we will have hosted approximately 60 visitors by the end of this year! Thanks for visiting us friends!
We recently had some friends visiting from Norway so we took them into the park to see all the African animals. We had such a treat as Jeremy and I saw some animals that we had never seen before in all our outings to Kruger. Almost right after entering we saw 3 cheetahs right by the side of the road. Then we saw a pack of about 30 wild dogs hanging out on the road. The ironic thing is that we saw 3 out of the top 5 hardest animals to see – wild dog, cheetah, and lion! There are only 400 wild dogs in the whole park and 200 cheetah. And of the 30,000 zebra we didn’t see a single one! It was an awesome day!
Emma Grace got her first bloody lip the other day. And not from her brother. She was just running and playing and she tripped over the rug. It was bleeding pretty bad which was a perfect excuse for her to get some cuddle and sympathy time which she loves! It’s already healed nicely, though.
Why is it that kids love to draw on themselves?! Joshua takes a marker into the bathroom and before we realize it he’s covered his whole face! And it’s usually at the most inopportune time like right before bed or right before going out. And of course his sister has to copy everything so she’s started doing it too! The joys of being a kid!
