World AIDS Day

11:28 AM

Did you know that today is World AIDS Day? Not only that, but it's the 20th anniversary of World AIDS Day. Sometimes the statistics can be quite overwhelming, and it's easy to get lost in the numbers. However, when you meet the children and see the face of AIDS, it's heartbreaking. You see they are more than a statistic but a child who doesn't deserve this wretched disease. I invite you today to let your heart be affected with stories like Sweetness, a 3 year old little girl who battles this cruel disease overtaking her body. Or Thulani, whose 15 year old body barely has the strength to fight because his grandmother won't take him to the hospital to receive the care he needs.

The purpose of World AIDS Day is for individuals and groups to come together to bring attention to the global AIDS epidemic. If you would like to be a part of this movement, I invite you to host a Ten Thousand Homes party in your home. It's a chance to invite people over to talk about what Ten Thousand Homes is doing to help the children orphaned by this AIDS pandemic. Our web launch is scheduled for December 12th. Small groups will be gathering all over the U.S. to hear the stories and let their hearts be affected to do their part as the Body of Christ. If you would like to host a house party or be involved in what Ten Thousand Homes is doing, please email David Henry at davidhenry@tenthousandhomes.org.
