Ladies Night Out

Last week I met with our sabbatical coach.  With Jeremy being gone, she asked me if there was anything I wanted to do for "Jen" while he was away.  I didn't really know.  I mean I have 7 whole hours to myself while the kids are in school.  What did I really need to do for myself?

Later that day I checked email, and lo and behold, there was an email from one of the editors at Today's Mama asking if I wanted to go to a special screening for Secretariat!  I knew right away I was supposed to go.  Supposed to go, you might ask?  Well, here's the thing.  I don't get a babysitter, so I can get out when Jeremy's gone.  To me, it seems like an extra thing that I don't need to spend money on.  But this was an opportunity to get out with my friends because I had 10 tickets! 

I'm so glad I didn't let the fact that Jeremy was gone hold me back from a ladies night out!  (Side note...when I texted Jeremy about going all he said was, "You should." Smile.)  The movie was great and the company was even greater.  You can read my review on Secretariat here.  It comes out October 8th.  It's definitely a must see family flick!

I'm taking the weekend off.  Jeremy comes back today, and we're celebrating a very special girl this weekend!  Have a good one, and I'll see you Monday!
