I feel like I say this the beginning of every month, but I can't believe it's November already!  That means two of my favorite holidays, Thanksgiving and Christmas, are right around the corner.  I've already begun some of my holiday preparation...working on Christmas handmades, freezing pumpkin, making batches of apple butter for the kid's teacher's Christmas gifts.  I'm thankful for the snippets of time now to help avoid being too busy later.  I'm also thankful for... boy making the Number Sense UIL team as well as the math excellence team. He loves math. :)

...the fact that I'm almost finished with one of two BIG handmade gifts.  So excited to share it when it's finished!

...I'm all caught up with editing family portrait photos.  Anyone want some fall portraits done?  I'm available!

...time spent working on creative projects.  My 2012 calendar is coming soon!

...getting to hang out with Anneke.  Time with family is always sweet. new specs.  I haven't worn glasses for a whole day in a while.  These feel so good!

With November upon us, what are you most thankful for?

  1. Time really does fly by! I'm thankful for all the usual - family, God's provision, the holidays, but especially this time of the year, I'm thankful for all the great deals I can get. I'm a bargain shopper, and this is my time of the year!

  2. Our power's still out, so I'm most thankful for my sister's warm apartment, where we're staying until it comes back on!

  3. It's all moving too fast, but we learn to enjoy along the way! Great photos, love the macros!

  4. I'm about to make some pear butter for the first time! :)

  5. I am thankful that I found your blog. Your post and photos are inspiring!

PS: About Pepperidge Farm -- doesn't the company also sell cookies with various nuts? I think I have seen them in stores around here (once in a while that is -- they don't seem to be regular items).
