I’m really bad about getting in front of the camera with my kids. I feel more comfortable behind the camera, but every once in a while I try to remember to ask Jeremy to snap one of me in front of the camera.

After our ferry ride from Ireland, we spent about five days in Birmingham, in the North of England. While exploring the city, we happened upon an old church. Isn’t it gorgeous? How do you like the modern right next to the old?

Now why is it that it’s so hard to get a posed picture with everyone looking and smiling? Honestly, they’re eight and ten. It shouldn’t be that hard.

And the finale...

pouty face

Jeremy said she was smiling and I jokingly said to Joshua that we should make sad faces. I guess he thought the joke was funny enough to put into action. :) Oh, memories.

  2. Precious photos, Jen!! My daughter constantly bemoans not being able to get everyone looking forward with good expressions for her "family photos"! LOL! Most recently she was dismayed by her efforts to get a suitable Christmas card photo. I think the random expressions of everyone are priceless! ;)

And, I love the old church! Such beautiful green tarnish. blessings ~ tanna

  5. That mushroom is a very unusual addition to the city skyline, but the church is gorgeous with the green accents, and I love your photo shoot!
