instagrams of the week12:00 AM
Emma Grace decided to dress all diva like for our ride from Johannesburg to White River. How do you like my new Epiphanie bag she's holding? It was an awesome Christmas gift! If you're unfamiliar with Epiphanie bags, they're made to look like a cool purse on the outside and the inside is full of compartments to hold your camera gear. I love it! Mine is the Stella in plum.
Until I went to England in October, I had no idea what a flat white was. I was thrilled to discover that Mugg and Bean here in South Africa serves them! So yum.
It has been one wet week! We're in Summer here in the Mpumulanga province of S. Africa and Summer means the rainy season. The plus side is that everything is green. I don't want to develop a hate relationship with the rain, but on my tin roof with no ceiling, it's enough to make you go insane. It's at the top of our list to put a ceiling in. Yelling the home school lesson to my kids is not the best way to school, in my opinion. :)
So there was a lot of talk about Instagram recently when they came out with some new policies. I know I was among the many thinking about deleting my account. It sounds like the feedback they received was good in the sense that it made them clarify the issues we were all concerned about. In their Updated Terms of Service, they made it clear that our photos belong to us and that they have no intention of selling our content. They also said that they are reverting their advertising section to "the original version that has been in effect" since they launched in October 2010. I know I have really enjoyed Instagram and am relieved to read this before I deleted my account.
How do you feel about Instagram? Are you still deleting your account?
All this information is from an email I received this week from Instagram. Policies go into effect January 19th.
