daddy's home!

Jeremy came home this past weekend, and we couldn't be happier. He was gone a full 2 1/2 weeks. Of course I felt the single parenting pains, but I think I also recognized that when a parent is gone, then you tend to spend time adjusting and then almost develop a slightly different rhythm. Then when the parent comes back, there's another adjustment period and the rhythm starts to return to normal. Does that make sense?

We stayed up late the night before his arrival making lemon squares, a welcome banner, and cards. I wish I could've gotten a photo of the loot he brought home for the kids. The floor was littered with goodies from the grandparents. So fun!

Happy 1st day of May, friends!

  3. A perfect way to describe that period of adjustment, Jen. Same thing for later when the kids come home and leave again... when the grands come and go... life is a series of subtle and not so subtle adjustments... ;) Love your Welcome Home banner! blessings ~ tanna
